Allie and I were on our way to Longview Gardens to buy plants. Allie said she wanted to leave a snarky comment on this blog. It would have been in response to my post about the owner of Joe's Burgers, who chose not to sell his property to a payday lender. She said burgers are as bad as, if not worse than payday loans. They clog arteries and are a public menace.
A minor argument ensued, one which I quickly conceded. One rarely beats Allie in an eating-animals debate.
Then, after her victory seemed so firmly in place, I casually asked, "Which would you rather see me bring home, a bag of Joe's Burgers or a receipt from a payday lender?"
Case closed.
